Victor Haghani

Vice Chairman
Victor Haghani is an American financier best known as one of the founding partners of Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM), a hedge fund established in 1993 that became famous for its sophisticated quantitative strategies and dramatic collapse in 1998. Before LTCM, he spent 13 years at Salomon Brothers, where he helped develop innovative fixed-income arbitrage strategies. After the LTCM episode, Haghani took a long break from managing outside capital and later founded Elm Wealth in 2011, a research-driven investment firm that focuses on evidence-based asset allocation and long-term wealth management for families and institutions. In 2021, he became Vice Chairman of Alan Howard Consultancy, where he contributes his deep expertise in quantitative research and portfolio strategy. His career reflects a rare blend of academic rigor, practical market experience, and a commitment to disciplined, principle-based investing.
